Hey, 👋 I’m Kelsey Mustra.

ABOUT
I’m a Product Designer with over 7 years of experience crafting intuitive, user-centered interfaces that empower and inspire. With a background in psychology and media communication, paired with an MS in Information Technology, I bring a unique, interdisciplinary approach to solving complex design problems.

Often serving as a UX team of one, I’m involved in every stage of the product lifecycle—from research and strategy to design, documentation, and launch. I thrive in ambiguity, turning rough concepts into structured plans and impactful experiences, while often juggling project management responsibilities along the way.

Currently based in sunny Florida, I spend my spare time baking indulgent desserts, leveling up my coding and design skills, wrangling my rescue cats and dog, and getting lost in a good podcast.

I also express creativity through baking, textile arts, and photography. Take a look at some of my creative projects.

From Justin

I worked closely with Kelsey at The Myers-Briggs Company, where she consistently delivered strong product design work and drove real business results. Kelsey takes a strategic approach to design that’s always user-focused. She handled products from concept through launch and beyond, producing designs that improved user experience and aligned with our business goals.

Kelsey has strong collaborative skills. She worked seamlessly with engineering and QA teams, not just on design handoffs, but as a true partner in problem-solving. She was great at clarifying and simplifying our product documentation, which made everyone’s job easier.

One thing I really appreciated about Kelsey was her openness to feedback and objective approach to challenges. She’d dig into research and data to inform her decisions, but could also pivot quickly when priorities changed. She managed multiple projects at once without compromising quality, and I was always impressed how quickly she managed to shift when a new priority was assigned.

Kelsey was genuinely enjoyable to work with. She cared about creating accessible, user-friendly experiences and earned respect from people across different departments. She’d be a huge asset to any company, given her mix of design skills, business understanding, and ability to work well with others. I’d strongly recommend Kelsey for product design roles where collaboration and strategic thinking matter.

From Anthony

I was fortunate enough to work with Kelsey on multiple projects at The Myers-Briggs Company, and she was consistently a standout Product Designer. She delivered thoughtful, user-centered designs that were fully fleshed out and developer-ready. Her handoffs were always clear, detailed, and grounded in both user experience and technical feasibility—making implementation smooth and efficient. She anticipated edge cases, documented interactions thoroughly, and maintained a sharp eye for accessibility and responsive behavior. Working with her raised the bar for collaboration between design and engineering. Any team would be lucky to have her.

From Helen

I recently worked with Kelsey on a strategic, cross-functional project. This was the first time that I’d worked directly with her, and I was so impressed. Kelsey’s design skills were impressive, always working with the user in mind. What really stood out was Kelsey’s collaboration and willingness to challenge and share ideas. We may have started with exactly what I’d asked for, but the end design was much improved with us working together. I also valued that Kelsey didn’t work on the project in isolation but considered the overall user journey. Kelsey would be a great asset if you’re looking for someone who’s smart, talented and easy to work with.
